02.06.06 Get Some Turns Five!

Get Some Film turns 5! Thats right, it was almost exactly 5 years ago to this day that Jim & Rick braved the cold Cincy winter weather, bought some bananas, snuck into a NKU meeting room with some local actors and shot "A.A." in less than an hour.

As we all know alot has happened in the last 5 years, we made more movies, released some tapes, made some concert films, made a feature film, some of us moved, some of us left, some new talent joined the roster, but GET SOME is still here and about to take things to a whole new level in 2006.

Timeline:

Summer 1999-Jim & Rick make "GET SOME!" the cable access tv show. 9 episodes are shot and shown between May '99 to Jan. 2000.


Spring 2000- Jim writes A.A.
X-mas 2000- Rod Riseden sets up GET SOME FILM headquarters.


Feb. 6th 2001- Jim & Rick shoot A.A. using local actors that Jim held auditions for the week before, one of them being a young Jeremy Zang.


Late Winter 2001-Dave writes SERVICED, shooting begins.


Spring 2001-Jim writes DEF INSECT, shoots it in 2 days with help from Dave and Jeremy. Jeremy helps cast the movie, from now on Zang is a full time member of GET SOME.


Spring 2001-Shooting on SERVICED is finished.


Summer 2001-A.A. plays at a couple of local film festivals.


Late Summer 2001- GETSOMEFILM.COM is launched.


Nov. 2001 GET SOME FILM VOL. 1 is released.
