James Riseden is the founder and CEO of Get Some Film Production Ltd. Riseden started the company in early 2001 mostly to jumpstart his career as a writer and director, but he also wanted to be able to help other young filmmakers bring to life the kind of unique films that he thought were missing from the current independent film scene.
Riseden hopes to develop the young film company into a full fledged underground film studio that will cater to the tastes of America's youth, as he feels that both the independent film scene and mainstream Hollywood in general have no idea what young people want to see in today's films.
As a director, James Riseden's influences include but are not limited to : Harmony Korine, John Woo, Quentin Tarantino, George Romero, Gregg Araki and John Carpenter. With his directorial career, Riseden hopes to resurrect the action and horror genres as he feels that the nation's current political climate has all but eliminated these once successful and innovative genres from today's film landscape.
James Riseden has written and directed : "A.A." and "def insect" as well as acting in "def insect", "Serviced" and the ongoing "Dissing Movies" skits. He has also served as director of photography on all of the Get Some films and is the in house editor for Get Some Film Production Ltd. Riseden also composed the film score for "FUBAR".
