Our now infamous Prince Dial a Song skit has been jacked off of You Tube by Prince's record company, claiming "copyright infringement.” Get Some has already sought additional outlets for this video to be shown.  To see this so called “controversial” video and decide for yourself,  click here!

06.28.07 A BLAST FROM THE PAST!

The YouTube comedy channel is enjoying some welcomed success, and this week we are putting up Serviced, which was officially released 6 years ago this month. This short film produced in 2001 marks the first official collaboration between GETSOME COMEDY members Dave Cartledge and Jim Riseden. We had to split it up into two parts for youtube since videos over 10 mins are no longer allowed.  Dave and Jim are using their free time to pump out some more sketch comedy scripts to be performed live at the UCB Theater. For all our fans out there, thank you for your support, and we've got a lot of great things planned, so keep watching!

05.12.07 GetSome Comedy Goes Live!

Get Some members Jim and Dave are now performing live sketch comedy! The comedy duo have begun regularly performing original short skits on stage at the UCB Theater in Hollywood. The show is called Not Too Shabby, and runs most Friday nights at midnight. Check the website for more details: www.ucbtheater.com/la
For those of you who aren’t local, the boys will be taping the best of their ideas as mini movies and presenting them on their You Tube channel. Those that are a little longer will be introduced as short films on next year’s Volume 3!

04.06.07 GetSomeFilm Comedy

We’re very excited to announce a new branch in the world of Get Some entertainment:  Get Some Comedy!  This is a side project that has been in the works for a while, and we are proud to finally introduce this to the world wide web.  Yes, we have launched a new You Tube channel for all you Get Some fans out there, www.youtube.com/getsomecomedy.  The content will be a combinations of shorts, series, and maybe a few surprises.  We are very excited about this, and we know you’re gonna love what you see!

01.28.07 Get Some Film works in progress

As we approach another GSF birthday, we thought we would take this time to tell everyone what projects are in store for 2007.  Jeremy is currently collaborating with some local filmmakers on a project that is yet to be revealed.  Upon completion, we will have full details, including how it can be seen, whether it’s You Tube worthy, or available from our merch page.  Jim has two scripts he’s working on.  One is an homage to Japanese horror about a man who encounters something very strange on a trip to the Land of the Rising Sun.  His second script, tentatively titled “My Life of Death”, will being shooting as soon as it is finished.  This will be a budgeted project and can and will be shot using available actors and locations around the Los Angeles vicinity.  It will be a feature length film and will use some very experimental film techniques. We can’t tell you anything about the plot, but we’ll eventually give you a summary once filming start.  Dave is still performing stand up and improv comedy, as well as helping to promote GSF projects and projects.  Hmmm, that reminds me, please see the new and improved Merchandise page!!!

After numerous requests from our loyal fans, Get Some Film finally has entered the world of My Space.  We all will be contributing to the content of this site, which means it will be updated very frequently!  Please take your time to check it out, add us as a friend, leave your comment, and ENJOY!

01.24.07 New Dave Cartledge footage added!

As some of you might know, Jim has been helping Dave build and add content to his You Tube channel over the last few months.  There are 7 entries now, which showcase a history of Dave’s finest moments in comedy, ranging from his first time on stage ever, to his most recent performance in Los Angeles.  Also included are Serviced and the making of.  Some of these have been touched up and edited by the magic of Get Some Film, so fans of Jim’s unique editing and camera angles will be please.  Check it out here!

GSF has, as you can see, recently undergone a major facelift.  Every single page has been updated, with some new features added.  To all of our fellow techies and future web designers, you can digest all of the technical bullshit here. Without giving anything away, please take some time to visit each page see for yourself.  We have made direct links to You Tube where you can see most of your favorite Get Some movies online for FREE!  Any questions or comments regarding the new and improved site, you may ask your humble webmaster.  Additionally, please show your love in the forums section; it’s a great place to talk shop, recommend films, and of course we’re all huge NFL fans. (Go Colts!).  Oh, and Happy New Year, fuckers, 2006 is deader than dead…

02.06.06 Get Some Turns Five!

Thats right, it was almost exactly 5 years ago to this day that Jim & Rick braved the cold Cincy winter weather, bought some bananas, snuck into a NKU meeting room with some local actors and shot "A.A." in less than an hour. more

05.23.05 Merchandise Updated

The merchandise page has been updated with some new items.  The Get Some boys are enjoying their new home in Los Angeles, and are currently working on various projects.  Check back next week for some massive updates, hopefully setting a trend of more frequent GSF news.  Don't forget to visit the forums!

10.21.04 New GSF HEADQUATERS

Jim, Jeremy, and Dave have relocated to Los Angeles, CA. No more of this Cincinnati bullshit. Kilmer will keep tabs on the Cincy branch of GSF. He will among other things make sure his bling bling is on and his bitches are under control.

08.23.04 DFTD AVAILABLE TO THE PUBLIC!!!

The wait is over! We had decided to release this movie on DVDR format for a short amount of time. If you need your getsome fix, we are selling a limited number of DFTD DVDRs. The DVDR will play on all PC's, Mac's, PS2, Xbox, and of course dvd players with the capability(most do). You can buy these discs for $5.00 + S&H. So hurry up and make your friends jealous by owning the first "bootleg" copy of the best movie ever made!! Fuckers!

03.10.04 TEAM GET SOME ON TV!!!

Get Some Film has been invited to be guests on The Josh Flowers Show, a well known local public access show. The program will air on Tuesday, March 16h, at 7:00 PM. This is a live broadcast on Insight 21 in the Kenton County area, so those of you who are unable to view this, we hope to have tapes of the interview avaliable in the future. Those attending are Jim, Jeremy, Dave, and Kilmer. Chack back next week for a synopsis of the show.

02.23.04 "THE BEST MOVIE EVER MADE"

A week has passed since the premier of DFTD, and it is now in the fnal stages of completion. The Madison Theater show was a huge success, as hordes of people came faithfully to support Get Some Film and to see our latest project. The movie gained a healthy approval from everyone who attended, including Scallywagon, complete strangers, and a few random Madison staff members. All in all, it was better than we could have ever have hoped, and once again special thanks goes out to Pat Hogan, Pat Brown, and the Madison Theater.

01.29.04 Volume I and II to get makeovers!

In our constant quest for perfection, Jim will go back to the original masters and tweak some of the editing and sound. The changes will minor, and most people won't even notice, but we feel that those collections deserve the same painstaking treatment that is being given to DFTD. Just don't expect any CGI hooey. More on this to come.

01.18.04 Update

It's been a long time since our last update, but we definitely have alot to show for it. The new movie is VERY close to completion, and wehave a few new suprises to report. All I can say right now is that we are working out a deal with punk rock legends The Vindictives to incorporate at least 2 songs for the film. Check back for more details.

01.18.04 New Release Date Confirmed

As of now, the new official release date for Down for the Dollar is Friday, February 13th, 2004. More details will follow later this week, but the premier will definitely be worth attending.

The offical release date of GSF's First Feature length film Down for the Dollar has been set to halloween. Approximently 2 months from today.
